The morning after the West Ham game I came into work and my unit manager, who is a Stevenage supporter, came up and said to me "At the this rate Stevenage will be the number one team in Hertfordshire". I initially laughed off this remark but afterwards couldn't help but feel slightly troubled by it.

There are a few colleagues of mine who, refreshingly, support sides in the Football League, Stevenage, Walsall, Sheffield Wednesday, and I am proud to support Watford and enjoy them being the superior team in terms of standings.

Although I tip my hat to Stevenage. For such a small club they have done well and at present are only 12 places below Watford.

However it is haunting knowing that they could over knock us off our number 1 spot in Hertfordshire...:emoticon-0107-sweat

Which is why Watford must make a stand here and now to not allow ourselves to be condemned into the recesses of the lower leagues and fight back. Get behind Dyche and the boys and C'mon you O'rns! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Meh, they don't have even nearly the same kind of support that we do. That said, L*t*n managed to fall below Stevenage too......

If we did get relegated they could possibly be better than us for a season or two, but realistically they are a far smaller club, smaller fanbase, less finances etc. They are doing very well punching well above their weight though and would be a huge achievement if they can remain competitive in league one.

I think it could happen. But to put a positive slant on it, I believe that it could happen without us getting relegated.
