I'm gutted that he's going to miss out as he's definitely my favourite player in the Premier League right now. Hopefully Fergie will give Danny Welbeck a chance to shine in the first-team while Hernandez is out.

Wouldn't be worried. BBC are reporting only 2 weeks and SAF isn't that concerned. We still have Berba, Rooney, Owen, Wellbeck and Macheda plus a rake of wide players. He'll be back before you know it.

The media are just blowing it out of proportion imo. He wasn't supposed to be playing most of pre season anyway, and if he misses the CS in a week or so then he will obviously be out for at least two weeks as we don't have a match the next week!

Looks more like a precaution to me than anything else.

SAF said he wasn't going to play against Barcelona anyway.

Could be important in the CS though. I know it doesn't mean much in terms of silverware but, between 2007 and 2010, we won 3 out of those 4 matches and the only won we lost (albeit on penalties) in 2009 we didn't go onto to win the league.

Might not be a link, but it does provide a good platform to build upon. Take last years win, we trounced Chelsea, scored a couple of majestic goals, Valencia's, Hernandez's face and Berbatov's and it showed what was to come from Chelsea and us later that season including how our midfield would dominate against Chelsea for the vast majority of the 4 games we played against them last season.

But Wayne Rooney is childlike at times. You are a child.

I followed him on twitter for awhile, My four year old Autistic niece has a better understanding of the english language than Rooney does.

I hope Hernandez is fit for the opening day. He got the winner at West Brom last year and also scored against West Ham, Stoke, Blackpool and Wigan away from home. That's right, Hernandez scored in ALL of our away wins last season in the Premier League. Shows you how important he is already.

I had him in mine but have gone for Suarez as he's cheaper. He may miss the start of the season too though, given his Copa America commitments.

I went for Suarez and a couple of other cheap strikers, Zamora being one, as I think he'll have a strong season. My midfield is my main area of strength (Nani, Downing, N'Zogbia, Brunt, Anderson). Should get assists by the bagful and a fair few goals too.

I've gone for Hernandez plus a couple of other cheap strikers (Jones and Davies). Not sure whether Suarez will be a strong goalscorer for Liverpool or more of a deep lying striker who makes more subtle and indirect contributions. I've gone for a stronger defence (Evra, Kelly, Huth, Bardsley and Sideshow Bob) which should get a few goals and assists as well. My midfield's a bit light, and heavily reliant on Malouda having a good season under AVB.

Not too bad really. Ive still managed to get Downing, Yaya, Wilshere, N'zogbia, (+Barton) in midfield with a pretty decent defence too.

De Gea in goal... good idea or not Swarbs?
