    i work at a research part next to heriot watt uni, there are parking spaces but only about half as many as we need, the alternative is to park on a rubble strewn bit of wasteland ****ing miles away or next to the cerb (not blocking the road or access or anything and no yellow lines etc). however, the wee estate manager **** prick ****er keeps putting these A4 pieces of paper on the window saying "blah blah blah, cant park here, next time you might be fined", never heard of anyone being fined (can they even do this? its not like their the council or anything) but they glue the ****ing things on the window and its a bastard to get off (although after discovering de-icer does the trick i always park there and collect them, leave them visable on the passenger seat <ok>).

    the current plan is to collect enough to plaster the wee ****s car in them (they'll all have my registration on them so he knows who to look for), but do they actually have the right to glue them on? currently trying to find someone to complain to (not the uni). i'm thinking of leading with vandalism claims.

    if Heriot watt own the land they could fine you however they need to have signs up saying so.

    don't know whether there allowed to glue **** onto your car though.

    Leave a note on your car saying you are consulting your solicitor regarding them using glue on your car which is criminal damage <ok>

    <laugh>

    I actually heard a story of somebody doing that. He was going to a house party & couldn't find anywhere to park so just stuck it on someones drive blovking the garage <laugh>

    They came back a few hours later & just sat in the car for ages wondring what the **** was going on..........evetually they heard a party going on & knocked on to tell them to move. Nobody owned up so the guy called the police.

    The guy eventually admitted it was his car but said he was too pissed to move it & couldn't find his keys. Police said it was not illegal for him to park blocking their drive as they do not own the road or path leading to the drive & said they'd have to park it elsewhere & wait for the guy to sober up in the morning <laugh>

    Would have lved to have been there to see that.

    if some **** parks his car in my drive i wouldn't phone the polis, the **** would be told iin no uncertain terms to move it and if refused i'd lay him out, then move it for him <ok>
