Been thinking today, is us winning those first few games been our downfall. Ok we have an inept chairmen and that's our certain downfall but if we had not won those first few Phelan would not of been in charge and Silva or who else maybe here? Or was Phelan going to be in charge whatever?

How I understood it at the time Phelan stepped up when nobody else would touch us with a barge pole.

I heard ( not from balm ) that silva had been looking at us for a while and had a good idea what every player was capable of! He's supposed to have lined them all up & told them their weaknesses! Might be a load bolllcks?

no one will ever really know what went on. Some will claim they did and do though.

Very possibly.Looking at the changes in how we are currently playing, someone has certainly done or said (forcibly) something.

if he did do that then its appalling management. How would telling a professional his weaknesses in front of all his colleagues help when confidence was already rock-bottom?

im 99% sure he didn't do this.

if anything, he'd have identified their weaknesses and worked on them individually.

I'm sure he wouldn't have done it in the way described. But I am pretty damn sure he will have done it softly softly through training and formation work to eradicate the errors.

We look a very focused side now. I like the fact he emphasises team rather than individuals. Excellent management.
