    This may have already been discussed, but I haven't had time to check so I'll just bring it to the floor.

    What with the recent developments regarding Liverpool and Carroll, would you accept a straight swap for Torres, in the extremely unlikely event of such deal arising?

    having a player like andy carrol at newcastle for his whole career is more important to me than having a supposed world class player

    I think Torres would perform well here, especially with Joey playing superb! Torres is now 26 and Carroll has just turned 22, in 3-4 years Torres price will drop because of his age. Andy's price can only rise, and can become a much better player.

    Not a chance. Torres would get arsey after one season and demand to move.

    Carrol is the sort of player that will play out of his skin every week no matter what's going on with his persoanl life, as proved many times in the past.
