Found this story on the Fox Soccer Channel website over here in Yank-land. Nice story. Although, I have to say those last few lines about the Champions League definitely got on my radar. http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/...e-profile-gold-cup-usmnt-ives-galarcep-060311 COYW!
A great article, about my favourite FFC player, should be read by all Fulham forum fans. I have said it in the past and will repeat Bob Bradley should be in the managers selection frame.
That last bit sounds dangerous- he might want out if a suitable club comes his way- if he honestly aspires to that then I imagine he will leave soon- he won't get better than he is at the moment.
Rocky there have been many articles ,roughly stating that many prospective managers may view the Fulham job as one where the club has reached its highest point,so what do we do appoint a regurgitated failure, or take a chance with someone from a lower league. I believe Bradley, with the nucleus of scouting, and coaching we already have, could be a successful formula. Yes Gilly if he takes us to dizzy heights Cup win, top 4/5 in league he will possibly move on,but we after 128yrs we would have had our moment in the sun.
Valjng. 4/5 yrs time. Bradley takes Fulham to their 3rd consecutive premiership title. ? OK so I may have been on a strange substance.
Rf has been touting Bradley for some time, and frankly he's convinced me he's worth a look. If it helped us keep Dempsey so much the better. Unfortunately, and I am generally an optimist, it is hard to see a club with our resources finishing higher than 7th in the current situation. How would our income ever match Spurs or Liverpool? In any case I'm putting an annually recurring entry into my diary for each June 'must remember to look for new manager'.
Almost there. Rocky is warming to the Bradley idea,(hard bit done) Now the easy part. Convince MO,& Bradley.
Don't want to disappoint rf, but even though, like yourself, I've been going down to the Cottage longer than possibly any of the current FFC staff, my influence on club policy is zilch.
I don't think anybody could hold it against Dempsey for wanting a move to a champions league club, it's only natural for a player to want to improve. I don't think he would find a club in England though, maybe a German or Italian club. Interesting one about Bradley, I remember before we appointed Hughes we were being linked with him and the likes of Sir Alex came out saying he thinks Bradley has what it takes to manage a club in England. Worth a gamble I reckon!
Interesting article and, to be honest, if he went to a club that was going to play in the Champions League I wouldn't hold that against the lad. I'd rather he was our player but he's done well for us and served his time so there would be no hard feelings. Would prefer it to be a club in Europe than in England, mind. Really not sure about Bradley - huge risk to take, although SAF probably knows more about managing in England than I do. I do notice that he didn't specify managing in the Premiership, though, just "England". He might mean somewhere like Scunthorpe or Doncaster.
I think Demps will be on his way either this summer or the next. Toward the end of this season he looked incredibly frustrated and uninterested. If we get an offer of around £10 million I'd say take it, even though I do love the guy.
