Didn;t we try and sign him before our 2nd PL season? Would be a good addition as this level, though with Donny getting potty mouth Diouf will they need more strikers?

He'd certainly do a job, get him signed!

Another player that might be worth a look is Jason Koumas, I don't know about you but i was surprised to learn he was a free agent! Surely worth a short term deal assuming he's still fit, which a short trial would determine.

We did try to sign him but he went to Celtic. Blessing in disguise really, would only have been another £3m we couldn't afford to spend.

Don't mind him and Diouf going to Donny though. Be nice for them to take some points off teams around us.

As long as they're not scoring any on 31st January that's fine by me!

I'd much rather go for Jordan Rhodes

I'd much rather see us go for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

Rhodes is going to go for big money.

On loan? No chance. Pretty unrealistic for January too. Same with Nicky Maynard, there'll be interest that blows us out of the water.

Poor man's Aaron McLean ;) I like Sam Vokes, think he'd be much more what we're after. Wolves don't have a load of options though, can't see them letting anyone go out.

Is Ebanks-Blake in Wolves' 25 man squad?

He'd be brilliant, he was basically the reason they got promoted and only missed out on playing in the Prem regularly because of one long-term injury meaning they signed other strikers.

You added that Rhodes bit in a selfish attempt to pre-empt me, didn't you? I'm annoyed now!

He was a sub against Man City on Saturday. Came on near the end.

The last time I looked he had only played in a Carling Cup game, but having checked again he's actually played in their last three games and I didn't realise he was out injured for all of September, so he's probably not going to be available on loan(Vokes has played nearly twice as many times as Ebanks-Blake, so he's probably not available either).

We'll have to make do with Macheda.

Don't rate him at all. Seen him several times since his glorious debut and he was garbage every time. Helped Sampdoria get relegated last season too.

He didn't have a good time at Sampdoria, but he can hardly be blamed for their relegation, he only started in three games.

Jason Roberts is a regular in the Blackburn team, he won't be going out on loan.

How bad do you have to be to only start 3 times for a team that gets relegated?

Always find it odd when people say "I'd sign Roberts" or "I'd like Jordan Rhodes". If you're going to be unrealistic, at least go for Messi or Ibrahimovic!

Messi and Ibrahimovic? Don't be ridiculous.

Berbatov, Owen, Defoe and Pavlyuchenko aren't getting games. Let's get them 4 in in January...

You'd have to ask Gianluca Atzori why he started him so few times, you could also ask him why he only played him on the wing, when he's normally a striker.

He's scored 4 goals in 16 Premier League games for Man United and they were mainly from the bench, I'd be more than happy to see him join us.

They have Fletcher, Doyle, Ebanks-Blake and Vokes who are all pretty good. They probably have a 5th that I've missed too.
