Stories starting to leak that Keynon is back in for us with a fresh bid. I see that Ashley is kicking off the bi-annual takeover piss take in the run up to the transfer window a little earlier this year. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...enyon-makes-fresh-300m-bid-buy-Newcastle.html
They can only pay for it over 3 years and will inject a mighty £50M and still aim for top ten (least that ismore than MA) Relegation under Kenyon and we become Portsmouth
This could actually have the exact opposite effect of what Ashley thinks it's going to have. So many of us were sceptical when BZ Toys were all over the news, we've all seen how that turned out which has just confirmed everyone's suspicions and now this again. Anybody who was still prepared to give this ****er the benefit of the doubt from the last time should surely be washing their hands now. Can't wait for the next home game to see how many stay away, of course its Man Yoo up for us next at home so probably not as big a hit as it would have been had we been playing Villa or Southampton. Does he not realise that in the story "The boy who cried wolf" that the boy had his ****ing windpipe ripped out in the end cos he was such a whiney little ****, here's hoping. Apologies if you haven't read "The boy who cried wolf" and I've just spoilt the ending for ya !
I can see it now... out of the frying pan and into the fire when ashley sells to someine with less money ! Rio ferdinand, mills and the rest of the haters saying ... they asked for it and they got it.
this confirms that the deal was real and that something went wrong !!! I wonder what and ffs Ashley piss off we could have been something big http://sportwitness.co.uk/manager-confirms-meant-get-newcastle-job-ended-sale-fell/
because the bloke was set to be manager why would he lie and say the deal fell through? my opinion is that Ashley made extra demands as usual, and the fact keyons offering this 3 years I which he can keep his sports direct signs also indicates the rumours that was the issue were accurate. I never believed it was all fabricated that's going too far . I believe it's far more realistic to believe the deal collapsed because Ashley is a ruthless ****.
I'm not saying the guy lied. I'm just saying that whatever came out of Ashley's mouth had no possibility of coming off because Ashley's goals are all in place with his ownership here. I believe that there was never a plan to sell up. It was just a story, created by Ashley, to deflect the aggro he was getting from fans for letting Rafa leave. And essentially it had some success. Don't you think it's odd that the middle East Prince has said nothing after the story just went quiet and disappeared into a fake sale?
col I was merely putting it out there to the people that think it was all just totally fabricated and that no bid was ever made . I cannot express how disgusting our owner is ! 1st sheik Mansour, god knows who else and now this group !!!! he has denied this club the chance to compete at the highest level of football over his ****ing ****ty signs and an extra 10 million quid basically and now we are looking at relegation and them buying Sheffield united or another club in the top flight and you can pretty much guarantee that .
Honestly, is the club for sale? No I guess is the only answer. If Mike Ashley wanted to spend some time finding a buyer, he could and would. If you rang up with an unconditional offer of £400m, would he take it? Not sure he would. Price would suddenly be £401m. It's so tiresome keeping up with the owners antics. He's just a sad and boring little man with too much money. He's not going to find a buyer until it suits him to do so, which is something fans can't influence. He's not going to sell at the moment because his valuation is - knowingly - too high, which is something else fans can't influence. Nothing else actually matters much. He's a very arrogant man, he's not that worried about relegation because he's twice popped £30m in and twice we came back up again, then he took his money back. Net cost to Mike - which we must remember is his only concern - is zero. Honestly, it's impossible to guess what he's thinking. If PL survival is such a priority, why Steve Bruce? Why this backwards model that's failed twice already? Why Charnley? But if PL survival isn't important, what is? If the club tanks into League One or worse he loses around £250m. Why would he want a League One, or even Championship, club? What's the benefit? I can't see one. There may be financial games being played out we're unaware of, real estate opportunities we aren't privy to. It may be he enjoys being the panto villain, he may be so unhinged he can't let go of anything - look at his High Street approach, it's buy-buy-buy with a generous helping of asset stripping, but there's no selling. He's not a 'selling' kind of person - maybe he sees it as weakness, as defeat? Maybe psychologically he cannot sell NUFC because he fears it makes him seem inferior to the new owner. He's tried his versions of PR assaults: - I'm trying to sell, guys, but can't. Honest. - Hey, look at this document, how can I sell to pauper Kenyon, you'll be worse off. - I'm really excited to have Geordie Bruce in charge, isn't that what you all wanted? If we look at these small moments in isolation, it could be argued this is Ashley's attempt to curry favour with the fans. I'm doing what you want, but doing it with integrity, and here's one of your own to help. Joelinton, I believe, is as much a PR exercise as an investment. A big, expensive 9 for the fans. Think about it; all these things are what someone completely detached from reality might do. It's a political approach to running the club, it's listening to a spin doctor who thinks he gets it (Bishop) then doing things to win the fans back. Why? Because he's not going to sell. Can't, won't. The more I think about the fact we can't influence it, the more I realise he doesn't want to be influenced. Whether it's strategically linked to SD (doubt "strategy" occurs much in Ashleys head) or a deep-rooted psychological problem, we're stuck with Ashley. Forever. The question I'd ask is - how would you deal with that?
