Another season, Christmas looming and another relegation dog fight on the horizon.

I think McGhee's a decent enough manager, and we can't simply keep chopping and changing managers. But just how is this miserable run going to end?

Young Santos looked a good prospect the other night, and t reminded me how poor Bistol is at nurturing its own talent at any sport, let alone going out and attracting potential stars of the future. It's a great place to live and work, so why can't any of our teams attract and retain the stars of the future?

The current side has looked technically pretty good but also inexperienced and naive in quite a few games this season.

Injuries aside, I think we've been a few experienced players short of a decent squad. It's quite a fine line really, but it reall needs sorting out. But I still think McGhee's the man to srt it in the long run.

recent seasons we been going on about some young players but nothing has happened. heard great things about lamar powell but never got a chance, all these prem sides after hunter but still not had a chance. harrison was on the bench and played 20mins at southampton under trolls but not had a chance since. goddard not had a real chance nor clarke. i say 2/3 players on the bench should be young players to give them valuable experience like 10 mins here and 20 mins there. im sure they are more likely to take their chance than some journeyman looking for a good pay packet from us. i have heard good things from lockyer but not been given a chance. hope santos gets another chance.

i fully agree with your last paragraph.

There are plenty of others who got away...Jack Buckland is a pretty good keeper! And there's another local lad plying his trade in Inverness in the Scottish Premiership - missed by the scouts around here.

someone gave a list of names of local talent to rovers and didnt hear a thing back. some of those name were picked up right under our noses and doing well.

think the person who done this list was called gasheadwes if i remember correct. butland was one of the players, charlie austin before swindon got him was another.

we use to be good at getting young raw non league talent.
