I think thats a complete load.. sanchez for one thing is going nowhere at all even on loan.... turan is not the answer at all but it could be a loan but really why not pack the wings and have suarez miss more sitterS? get the man out on the right side attack slot where he belongs and get a damned finisher!
Rodgers see's the wide men as responsible, if not more responsible for goal scoring, than the middle striker. We need to see a team of goal scorers and not rely on one man up top. Signing these men wouldnt mean we would not sign a main striker.
LOL!! I saw that earlier and smiled. WE NE3D TUR4nzz!!!111 It's now only a matter of time before we're linked (again) with Mata, Adu & Dzeko - All this will happen just as Man Utd will be bought out by the Qatari royal family
i think honeslty money is tight so signing one of these would mean we'd not get anyone else. wide men staying wide to create space for the main striekr is what rodgers is at, epscially when they do go so deep tracking full backs too. this means those wide mena aint getting the goals! ergo.... the main striker is the guy.. and suarez frankly misses too many but is world class out wider and i na deeper role.... this is my opinion of what i'm seeing... no number sin the box when the wideman does look up to cross... it gets cut back and passed round.
This exposes how little and inconsequential a trigger is required to get people to start making **** up. One photo of him wearing Sahin's top while on International duty. Why would we want him now, when we could have got him from Galatasaray last year, when he was begging us? Needless to say there will be a thread a mile long on CaughtOffside, with all the resident ******s drawing up team formations with Turan in it.
I'd still have Bent up front for us. He scores goals wherever he plays, he's always in the right position to sneak tap ins or rebounds. That's what we lack. Shove Suarez on the right, Sterling on the left and Bent in the middle with Sahin/Shelvey running off him and we'd get far more goals than we do now. Suarez down the middle is not working.
At Swansea, the only place where Rodgers ever succeeded, the biggest contributor of goals was the attacking midfielder...who got up and joined the striker looking for knock downs and lay offs. When we came up from the Championship Stephen Dobbie played the role to greatest effect and when we really got going in the Premiership (2nd half of the season) Siggurdsson played there. Although, obviously the 2 wingers have to chip in with more than the average for a wide man. Who is playing at the top of the midfield for you?
