    Hardly worth the effort. Would it not be better changing it to NewCo or Anonymous until such time as a decision's been made as to whether they can join the SFL or SPL?

    Remember, for a new team to get into the SFL they must produce three years worth of audited accounts.

    In all seriousness, the SPL are discussing if newco Rangers are liable for the transgressions of Old-co. If you are not liable for legacy issues, such as double contracts, then it's very hard to argue that the new-co can get to keep the trophies of the old-co.

    What will they do with the trophies then? Do they just forget they ever existed or give them to the runners up? If it's the latter that will be a nice open top bus tour for Hibs.......

    They remain. The company behind the club going bust does not equate to the club going bust. Leeds, Fiorentina , Portsmouth etc.

    So looking at what Mick says answer this question.

    Are NewCo Rangers responsible for the actions of OldCo Rangers?

    If it is proven that OldCo used Dual contracts (and thereby forfeited 12 trophies or thereabouts) will NewCo Rangers rail against this or will they accept the removal of trophies and any other sanctions which the SFA/SPL hit NewCo Rangers with?

    If they are the same Club then surely they MUST accept any punishments given to the Old Club?
