Well at least the NIMBY'S can't claim that it has been used for recreational purposes for the last five years.

Although with all the ****e that's been performed on it, it is quite reasonable that it could be designated as a new site for allotments. The return in carrots and potatoes with all that manure should be stupendous!

Hate the design, but cant see it having any problems going through. No opposition to it evident before.

From the plans it all looks disproportionate

Went to the open day, from the pics it looked like a bowl.

    Utterly underwhelming.

Question is, is it an improvement on what we have now ?

    If yes then good.
Its a shame about our Vale, but then Bristol is like that.
Where I live in Leeds, the nimbies would have been moved out to the country late one night, and woken up in a field surrounded by their possessions.
I think I'd rather live in Bristol to be honest

It would be hard to spend forty million and not make improvements. The wedlock is a dog of a design.

"The stadium would be designed with fans in mind; there would be full engagement and consultation to ensure we represent the history and heritage of the club as fans would like.

At least the seats are red.

Full engagement and consultation to ensure we represent the history and heritage of the club as fans would like.

Then proceed to do the opposite.

    Welcome to the vision.

Interesting chat yesterday about the wedlock with fans. If this is from a wide consultation why is it hard to find anybody who likes the design?

This might sound daft to you lot, but excuse the ramblings of someone who only goes to Ashton Gate once in a blue moon (oops) but is Greville Smyth Park totally out of the question? Looks perfect on Google Earth!

Out of the question yes. Last council attempted to sell of parks. Nobody with any sense would attempt it. Opposition would see a tent village set up. That park is very used heavily.
