i have said all along i will be surprised if Albert is here come the season start. Palace want Bolasie now that would be crazy to let both go. http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Swan...ity-s-Albert/story-16677934-detail/story.html
Meh we paid £150k for Albert, if we get £2.75m for him it's great business. If Bolasie wont sign a new deal then we paid £20k for him and would be selling him for £250k. Both decent increases in what we actually paid for them. Providing we can sign a new winger I wouldn't have a problem with both going if it's what they want. I'd prefer them both to stay though!
If we sell both then I will be fuming, we would be getting rid of all our flair and skill, and theres no way I'd settle for 2.75 million for Albert when ****ter players have gone for more. To progress we need both players
dear Bristol city This is to inform you as a paying fan at Ashton gate if you sell Albert the impact could be dramatic knowing one player doesnt make a team but we would absolutely lose that thrust and flair he brings to the wing of our team and whats gunna contribute to a potentially gr8 season............. If you do look ot sell, then please consider the fact the bidding should start at 5 million anything lower needs jogging on Amen
****ter players have gone for more but what if we use that money to get Baldock, Buzacky a new cb and a winger.. Would be better overall.
You can keep Bolasie Adomah though is worth hanging on to, but £2.75 million is far too cheap. Its time City put a realistic figure on his head
I expect Albert's been very aware that if he has a good pre-season he could get a move to the Prem. Maybe his motivation will drop if he doesn't end up getting a deal?? Anderson must have been bought to ensure we aren't caught short if Albert and/or Bolaise leaves. I'm still trusting Del and Dawe to make the right football/business decision - i.e. only accept offers which can be reinvested to enhance the team overall by funding 2 (or 3 max) quality signings.
Its all good saying we bring those players in with the funds, but whose to say we don't bring anyone in to replace addy? Look how long we've took to replace caulker which we haven't
A bid of around £3m is good business for the club - I have loved watching Albert but we should remember he does have his weaknesses (final ball etc) However, we MUST re-invest the money - don't forget it's not just transfer fees, but wages as well. Bolasie is in the final year of his contract - maybe selling now as they think he won't sign a new one?
Bolasie to Palace for £250k - I'll pay his Bus Fare. Adomah shouldn't be sold for less than £4million - How much do Barnet get ? Good business if Del's allowed to spend the surplus and a bit more on a creative CM, dominant CH and Striker.
I certainly thinking wages has been a sticking point with some of our targets. So a big cash injection may allow a little more flexible during negotiations. Still 22 days until transer window closes I believe, so I'm trying not to pre-judge the squad or the success of the transfer negotiations until then.
Personally think we should be looking at 3.5 million+Dobbie, this would be acceptable. I imagine Bolasie will stay, however if he wants away then take the money. I thought Anderson was signed for a reason,as it was a area that did not require a player unless someone was off.
£3-4 million plus a player in a position of need would be acceptable IMO. Keep Bolaise for that kind of money though. He could be the next Albert...
Barnet won't see nothing, he was out of contract when we brought him and we only had to pay compensation fees
Albert is a very streaky player who tends to disappear up his own backside sometimes but nevertheless an excellent player. Sky Sports says that he has 2 years left on his contract which means we can bide our time on him and he would be a definite asset to our season. Let him know that we have his best interests at heart and that a brilliant season might see him moving on the some big fry up top. However if they have to go then so be it and put the transfer fees to good use to bring in new players and possibly pay down some of the debt. Time to move on and trust in the overall plan of Derek.
