    just looking at their communications strategy so far, if indeed there has been one, all the indicators suggest to me that the Allams are having a serious review of how they communicate with their audience rather than simply pandering to the usual local 'mass' media suspects. Having worked in the field for a number of years, i think its about time we took on a contemporary strategy (or even a strategy of any kind i suppose). Of course, perhaps its just coincidence but in my experience, being control of the message and speaking directly to your audience is the most cost efficient and effective method to communicate what you want, when you want it. Relying on an unpredictable traditional form of media, who's objectives are more about achieving their own financial aims has never been effective!
