I've seen this on twitter and I think its really good. There is a new initiative to try to stop sexism in football called 'Her Game Too'. It has already exploded around social media this week getting over a million views. I have seen quite a lot sexism recently, in the last year or so on social media, aimed at the likes of Alex Scott and other female football presenters, pundits and commentators. Having 2 daughters myself who like to watch football, especially the Gas Girls, I wonder and fear how bad it will be when they are at the age of using social media finding where they fit in. But I now have hope that this initiative will improve things for the future.

    Watch the clip here...

At the end of the day CJS it comes down to a lack of respect, whether it's colour faith or gender, the sooner people start giving others respect the sooner some of the current issues will start to get better. I really hope that this campaign achieves something good

I couldn't agree more, it's a sad indication of society nowadays, some people seem to believe they can say or do whatever they want, without any thought for others or the consequences. Personally, I am not the least bit interested in women's football, I have no desire to watch it on TV, don't keep up with results etc, and frankly couldn't care less about it. Having said that, I fully accept that there is a large following throughout the country, and alot of people thoroughly enjoy it, so good luck to them. I certainly wouldn't condemn anything to do with ladies football, whether it be playing, supporting or following in any other way - each to their own! Why people can't just leave others to get on with their lives is beyond me.

The sad thing is that it’s learnt behaviour. In my youngest’s U10s team there’s two girls, two disabled kids, a black lad and an Arab boy.

They all get on well, support each other and there’s no reference to anyone’s gender, race or disability when things go wrong or someone makes a mistake. Unfortunately, as people get older they start to focus on those who are “different” and that difference often becomes the basis for insults.

Hopefully if we keep calling it out the trolls and haters will disappear back into the shadows.

Exactly. No one is born racist or sexist or discriminatory towards anyone. It's often installed into people by association from influencers such as family or/and friends.
