Henry would sign and only 37

Harry Redknapp is keen on bringing in a striker to partner Charlie Austin before the transfer window slams shut.

Redknapp's son Jamie was appearing on Sky Sports News with Henry when he light-heartedly suggested the possibility of the Arsenal favourite signing for his dad.

The Frenchman, 37, hung up his boots earlier this season after a spell at New York Red Bulls and is now a Sky pundit.

Henry laughed at the suggestion - then said: "If he lets me do with my job [with Sky] then okay!"

Austin has bagged 13 goals this season. Only Leroy Fer (3) has scored more than two.

Henry scored 228 times in 377 games for the Gunners.

 

Hmm... I'm not sure if I'd be ok with that. But, probably, he'd score a bunch of goals. He knows how to do it.

 

Bring in Messi and Ronaldo as well, Harry will f*ck them all up...

 

I ve seen him playing for the Red Bulls, we could do a LOT worse.

 

This is one old man I wouldn't mind the space he would create and his touch is class, shame it was a joke!

 

If he's only doing punditry then he's probably got less distractions than half our book-touring, publicity-whoring social butterflies.
