Depends what the competition is like - that he only has one year left on his contract could simply be the difference between whether they'd be willing to sell him or not, more so than how much he goes for. That could change if no-one bites with only a couple of days to go, particularly if there're implications to their transfer embargo...

What a coup Bamford would be - he may have had a tough time at both Palace & Norwich, but he was hardly given a great supply of opportunities at either - I think he has what it takes to be a Premiership striker. At this point I'm taking every rumour with a bowlful of salt, let alone a pinch, but it's exciting to speculate. Hopefully this summer doesn't fall flat like last year (we might be in trouble if it is) & we can be optimistic for next season.
Bamford won't come here unfortunately, but he is capable of being a top striker in the years to come.
I think this heralds the start of 'silly season', during which time we'll be linked by various media outlets at some point as being linked with every type of player imaginable, ranging from some obscure African village team players to some well-known Premiership celebs. Until I see them paraded in their City shirt on the OS it will always be just talk to me. Even after that it can still fall through (Moteab anyone?)
