I'd just like to say, Henderson has been a revelation this season. We were criticised at the beginning of the season for spending big on him but as he's played more games, he's looking more and more like a £16-20m player. His movement and crosses are really coming along, and I think we have a really good RM/RW on our hands, although I still maintain he should never be put in CM. When he played there for Sunderland, he really didn't suit the role and I think he should stick to wing play so that we can get the best out of him.
He's been really good, didn't expect him to play much but he's been good in every game. Downing on the other hand needs to improve he reminds me of Jermaine Killer Ball Pennant.
I agree with this, Hendo is going to be a class player for us. Downing on the other hand has fallen short of my expectations, I'm sure he will find his form though. He just needs a goal or a couple of assists.
Kenny must be well chuffed with the progress that Henderson is making. He said that Hendo was one of his prime targets and despite a somewhat shakey start the ;ad is starting to fullfill his faith in him. Downing on the other hand needs to relax. I'm sure that he will get more goals and play an even bigger part in Liverpool's performance if he just let's it flow.
Strange as like 5 games ago downing was putting in decent performances and looking promising, whereas Hendo was at the opposite end of the spectrum.Early days yet but the signs look good going forward into the season.
I think he was average at the start but is now bedding himself in. Not quite worthy of praise yet imo. Obviously he has done some good stuff, but I expect more.
