As value for money goes i would say that he is top of the best deals of the domestic players involved in transfers for many a year ,seems set now to captain the liverpool side and keeps proving what a great signing he was.
I'd agree, and at the time we were all saying we mugged Liverpool off for £20m, wonder what he's worth now ?
He's certainly got better and better each season and always gives his all. The improvement in his passing has been very impressive, he plays some great balls in behind defences. We need a few more goals from him but think that'll come.
The fee looked huge when Rodgers wanted to offload him, to Fulham, but he's shown some grit and dug in .......... decent lad imo.
Cracking player. Keep arguing with my Dad about him - I still think we were right to sell - my dad doesn;t. He wouldn;t be that player here. He was under far more pressure. When he was off form the stadium of light could be terrible! (same now to be honest)
Started off a bit slower this season, took him a while to find his feet but I've got to agree he's looking the part. I doubt he'll fill Gerrard's boots as captain but because of the club he's at, nobody would. Could have done with putting Ballotelli in his place with that penalty thing but he'll learn from that. Should be an England regular for me.
He is a great player and I was sorry to see him leave even for such a big fee, if he had been retained it would send the right message out as to what type of club we are. Along with Todd and Bridges he is represents the best we have produced in 60 years.
Good player, great signing for value but I can't help but feel people are starting to get caught up in the "next Stevie G/liverpool captain" hype. He's got a lot to add to his game yet.
If he had any aspirations in playing for his country it was a very good move for him personally. It`s unlikely he`d have got near the England squad if he`d stayed here. As others have said he`s got a bit to learn yet but he is learning and coming along nicely. I wish the lad well in what seems to be turning into a good deal for both clubs.
I like Jordan, he come across as a decent, level headed lad. And as pops says, he's coming along nicely.
Natural ability but works really hard at his game Benefited massively from playing with better players last season such as Suarez, Gerrard and Sturridge There will be more testing times ahead when he gets the arm band from Gerrard, but he has the mentality to cope
I remember thinking at the time that we'd be daft to turn down Liverpool's offer, when we had what I considered to be a better player waiting to 'fill his boots' Since then young Jordan has really 'grown' . . . . far more than he would have if he'd stayed, and his replacement wasn't as good as I thought . . . . and now he's a Skunk
If we had a policy of keeping the best players we have, maybe, just maybe the skunk would still be playing for us, I have a sneaky feeling we will see both playing for England one day, hope I am wrong mind you.
I feel the two together would be a stable centre/midfield pair for england ,not to much flair but hugely steady and both with good stamina
