The French international is again at the centre of a controversy over alleged racial abuse by Liverpool’s Louis Suarez, with the PFA now moving to ensure that he is abused only for those character traits over which he has some control. “The colour of his skin is completely irrelevant,” said a PFA spokesperson. “The verbal abuse he receives on the pitch should focus only on things like his history of dissent, the way he repeatedly winds up opposition fans, or that thing he does when he pretends to be injured after committing a foul which borders on physical assault.” “For example, if an opposition player were to use the phrase Odious Prick then that would be perfectly fine, as it’s both accurate, and makes no reference whatsoever to his ethnicity – it could equally be used to describe Joey Barton or Robbie Savage.” “We’re not averse to Gallic Arsehole either.” Patrice Evra racism claims Simon Davies from the Kick Annoying Twats Out Of Football campaign, said he welcomed the stance of the PFA. Clearly an idiot who thinks Evra is some sort of criminal and that Suarez can't possibly be guilty of anything. I take it you were at the hearing and heard all of the evidence presented? No? Thought not.
No I haven't. I haven't accused anyone of anything, all I've said is that Suarez must have been banned based on sufficient evidence, that is different to accusing him of being a racist or making racist remarks. No-one knows what was said at the hearing or what evidence put across so accusing anyone of being a liar is ridiculous.
I can't see anyone calling Evra a liar here on this thread, although his previous is suspect. However, square the circle that Evra refused to discuss the issue through the PFA with Suarez, but apparently hold the view that Luis is not a racist.

This isn't a court of law and at the moment it seems to be the FAs word against LFCs (presumably both sides have reviewed the same evidence)...both of whom undoubtedly have an agenda on this issue. I've not accused Evra of being a liar in all fairness...just a snivelling little **** (and I thought that before all this kicked off before you say anything )
As I've noted elsewhere, Suarez had nothing to gain by refusing to address the issue and everything to gain by talking about it. Evra would lose out because it would look like he had made a(nother) false allegation of racism. Not to mention, Sir Alex gets to disrupt Liverpool again. So United have everything to gain and nothing to lose by standing by and not taking up mediation. Even if the FA found in Luis' favour, the line would have been "Luis said a word with could be taken as racially abusive and this was how it was taken. We accept that, in hindsight, no racial offence was intended.", thus covering arse.
