Help? Rangers promotion

So Rangers dont need to finish top to get promoted, I have read the rules and its all a bit of a mess if you ask me. So as I understand 3rd V 4th the winner of that two legged tie plays 2nd in the championship (currently Rangers) then the winner of that game plays the team in 11th from the SPL, whoever wins that get the spl place? Am I right with that synopsis? it seems like a lot of trouble to go to, whoever put that together needs their head fixing

 

Your synopsis is correct. Basically, one side from the play offs plays the club being relegated from the Premiership and winner then competes in following season in the Prem.

 

I don't actually think this situation is bad for either club so not worth worrying about now. Game time at better level for our fringe players and it will help rangers get promoted and do well in spl.
