I dropped my iPhone 4S this week smashing the screen and breaking the on/off switch. Since doing this my phone started heating up very quickly and the battery starts draining really fast(in about 2 hours), and taking 5-6 hours to charge up again. I took it to a phone repairer and paid 60 quid to get a new screen, on/off switch and a new battery, thinking this was why it was overheating. The phones no better, unfortunately. Has anybody else had any issues like this before? I'm starting to think I'm gona have to cut my losses and get a new phone. I've had enough of iPhones now, with Samsung Galaxy is the best out there at the moment?
i'd take it back to the repairer and say, ho! you havnt repaired this ya ****a, giz me £60 benk back or repair it properly
It's a mate of a mate that done it. He didn't suggest getting a new battery I told him over the phone what I wanted and my mate gave him it to do. I just presumed the battery was fooked, but it sound like I've nacked it good and proper!
cut your losses then bro, upgrade if you can if not i've got a nokia 8210 in the junk drawer you can have
Haha.. Yes I can upgrade early for 80 quid, think I'll just do that. Now I just need to decide which Samsung Galaxy is the best? I've only ever had iPhones .
A new phone son, I swear by iphone5 but everyone's different even if you do have a good few of my genes..
iphone 5 is quality mind, like your dad says, pay your £80 and sell your 4s as damaged probs re-coup your dosh somewhat buy a protective cover next time, i've got a flip leather thing, looks girly but its been dropped a million times and not a scratch
Could you hold on for just over a month? If so, The Samsung Galaxy S5 should be out (April time). If not, the Note 3 is a great phone and is the one I should have gone for.
Lollie loves the Sony xperia Z she has now, got the tablet to match. I just love iPhones full stop, just me I think..
The 3 phones I'd recommend are the Note3, HTC 1 or the Sony Z1. All three phones are amazing. The S4 is great too but will shortly be replaced. If neither of those tickle your fancy, go for the LG Nexus 5. Top spec phone at a cheaper price. I have one (as well as an IPhone 5S) and love it.
On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest, my dislike for you is approximately........ fifteen
The same as the S4 with slightly scaled down specs. The camera is not as great (but still good enough) and the processor is somewhat slower but not noticeably. It will also be cheaper on a contract to buy than the standard S4. If you are used to the size of an IPhone then I'd recommend the S4 mini or the Z1C which is a smaller version of the Sony Z1.
