Yesterday, I was sure I saw, from my vantage point in the South stand, Ross Wallace straight arm Quinn in the face in front of the East stand at the North mid end. I jumped up and yelled some profanity only to notice nobody else around me reacted (embarrassing to say the least). Also none of the players seemed to appeal either. Was I seeing things or what actually happened?
Haha ! You saw it right Strov,Quinn reacted mildly to the joke of a ref but like most of the **** Burnley got away with yesterday,he waved him away.
Thought so, Kempton. As I've said on another thread, we are miles too nice, that's why we are top of the fair play league. I don't like the way players put refs under pressure, but until the powers that be do something about it, playing mr. Nice guy, mr. Honest, mr. Play by the rules, whilst other cheat at every opportunity is just going to produce failure. We need to man up. We need a proper Ashberian leader. We need to let the ref know he's made a mistake.
Ashberian is already in existence describing the style of the famed American poet and Pulitzer Prize recipient John Ashbery. From his Collected Poems, "Two Scenes" We see us as we truly behave: From every corner comes a distintive offering. The train comes bearing joy, The sparks it strikes illuminate the table. Destiny guides the water- pilot, and it is destiny. For long we hadn't heard so much news, such noise The day was warm and pleasant. " We see you in your hair, Air resting around the tips of mountains."
With poetry like that I can understand why most people are unfamiliar with the term "Ashberian" Utter gobshite describes it more aptly.
