A few days ago I cut the underside of my big toe, I assume I stood on something but as a diabetic with severe neuropathy I had no idea until I sat on the bed to get dressed following a shower. On Friday I had an appointment with the podiatrist and she cleened it up and put an iodine dressing on it and ordered a course of antibiotics from my doctor. As it was the weekend I had to wait till today for the prescription and I started a 28 day course of Flucloxacillin, since taking the second capsule I've peed twice and it looks like neat blood, our A & E is closed overnight and I don't fancy a trip to either Bristol or Taunton to see an emergency doctor. Does anyone know if certain forms of Penicillin can cause blood in the urine? Seriously, I am more than a little scared!
Hematuria – the presence of red blood cells in the urine – can be caused by a number of different conditions. ... Strenuous exercise and medications such as certain laxatives, aspirin and penicillin can allow blood to leak into the urine, for example, and these are problems that will go away on their own. Found this which might put your mind at rest mate. I'm no doctor so I would get it checked out asap but it sounds like it might be your problem.
I could not remember which was police and which was NHS. All sorted now and it was indeed caused by the penicillin but is now running clear (phew)
Good news Dave about your waterworks. Still can't forgive you for that 95th minute equalizer last week though.
Funny that, we felt like we'd lost. I was gutted mate. The Slut is a good guy and is very popular with all Hull City fans. He has a good footballing philosophy but is hampered by an arsehole of a chairman and a distinct lack of experienced quality players. We lost most of our PL squad over the summer so the team is largely made up of young kids on loan form Chelsea for instance, and a few journeymen like Seb Larsson and Fraizer Campbell. We've got a reasonable enough squad to survive but I can't see us getting promotion this year.
