1 just wondering do we still play for the friendly trophy with norwich

2 did we ever win it

3 do we really care about it

1: read it did get scrapped, but then read it didnt, so no idea lol (see point 2 it obviously didnt).

2: Each time they meet, Norwich and Sunderland contest the Friendship Trophy, an honour dating back to the camaraderie forged between fans of the two clubs at the time of the 1985 League Cup final that they contested.[90] Sunderland are the current holders of the cup, having defeated Norwich 4–1 on 24 August 2009. so answer yes and we still hold it

3: Not sure if most do but its something else to aim for lol and its a trophy even though it doesnt really mean sod all.

I still remeber the 250 a-side kick about in the car park before the game = CLASS day apart from the wee blonde cockney missing that pen.

It could have been soooo different - but the best team won on the day - a team which had a certain Steve Bruce as centre half.

LOL Bart
