    Its very confusing here
How do I get an avatar and what are the bars for on the left?
The question I want to ask is does anyone else think Dyche is out of his dept?

The bars are sort of a level system, based on your activity/contribution.

No, I do not agree Dyche is out of his depth, bad start but still giving him a chance.

Afternoon Hornsrus, its good to see we have not scared everyone off. Im sure that you can get the hang of it after a while.
The others have done a good job of explaining the bars- as they say they are levels, the blue one is a general progress through the levels, the orange one is how far through your current level you are, and the green one is your activity, so the more you post the more it increases.

I think its a bit early to say he's out of his depth. There are plenty of experienced managers who have had worse starts (Mclaren anyone?) I think we need to judge at the end of the season regardless of our league position.

I dont think Sean is out of his depth, i think we forget that we have had some tough games so far this year in West Ham and Southampton. Then we have had some decidedly dodgy decisions at Coventry, then we have had some well earned victories- Millwall and Reading, also we have had come good scraps Burnley and Birmingham. The only game i can see where the we were completely robbed after dominating the whole match was Derby. It could not be helped, we played well for 89mins and they were slow and wasted time constantly, however the one time they took a quick ball we were caught out and Davies scored a cracker.

I would be more disappointed if we lost to the likes of Peterborough (personal reasons partly) Bristol City and Doncaster, we need to be getting as many points from the teams around us as possible.

    welcome to not606 :).

No, i don't think he's out of his depth either. He's had a not very good start, but things will improve as the team gels better together, i'm sure.

Welcome to not606 hornsrus - good question for your first start - unfortunately for me the answer is that "the jury is still out". Surely nobody could expect miracles from him - he was not expecting this promotion to Manager even back in May so his time to adjust has been limited - new managers have made better - and worse - starts but he has not had a lot of money to play with and he has got a point per game so far - much like Rogers and Mackay started with for half a dozen games. He has to improve if we are to stay in this division but if he is a quick learner then there is everything to hope for.

Welcome to the wonderful world of not606 Hornsrus. The bars on the left are interesting and the little symbols as well, I worried about them when I arrived but there looks like no logic when you collect points

I changed my avatar since the last post.

At the top of this page in the command bar starting with New Posts you can find Forum Actions rough in the middle of your internet window.
Click on that and from the drop down chose Edit Profile, click that option.
On the left is Edit Avatar, it is fourth down in My Settings
Then you can bring in a picture from the web as option 1 or your own files as option 2.
When you have chosen go to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

We simply won't know for a while yet - possibly over a season or maybe two.

With a manager, it is very difficult to assess his ability over a very short length of time. 10 games is certainly not enough, but sadly many managers are judged in that time. But chairmen simply don't want to take the risk that even if a team struggles one season a manager can turn round the fortunes the next season - very few managers have that chance (GT being one after 2000-1).

Conversely, most people would have said that Glenn Roeder was doing very well in his first stint as manager, guiding Watford to 7th in the old Div. 2 in his first full season (1994-95). Few predicted the cataclysm that awaited us in 1995-96, with the likes of Craig Ramage, Kevin Phillips, Tommy Mooney, Kevin Miller in the squad. He lasted until February until being ignominiously sacked..........
