But no, Im trying to say I originally thought he was singing about another couple, a blind bloke and a lady. The song words is what the lady was saying to the guy

I've obv not watched the vid recently, im not as big of a Lionel Ritchie fan as I used to be <sarcasm>

 

I remember it so well as that was the big joke when the video came out. "What a tight **** singing that line to a blind girl"

 

It does seem wrong! I was shocked when I watched the vid for the first time
