Its a sad fact of life that forums like this attract the odd, very odd, idiot, yours seems to go by the name of Wakka.

A message to your mads from him..

I'm only posting this to keep you in the loop, he will come back with one of his daft posts, takes him some time, then I will ban him, takes me 2 clicks of the mouse.

Just enjoy the forum and ignore the numpties, they all get sick in the end.

It's a bit sad that this person doesn't grow up syd, I mean how sad that a forum is the only place it has for an outlet on life, guess it's limited troll existence satisfies certain urges for it, I have a missus for that ;)

Agreed, yesterday in the match thread we must have had quite a few WUM's and it wasn't pretty.

Another thing I'm going to bring up are supporters of other clubs coming onto our boards openly criticizing the team in such a way to provoke a huge arguement - Is this classified as WUM'ing? It can't be justified as personal opinion as it only insulted the club and had no constructive style in which it could provoke a real discussion.

This issues need to be addressed, during match days many users can't be bothered to report such users and because some of them 'stay within limits' the mods cannot do anything. We need clearer, strictor rules which can also be enforced at the mods individual discretion. Wakka has been a known WUM for ages now, yet he continiously changes accounts and 'stays within limits', surely a mod should be able to ban him if its being made so obvious?

Exactly. The wums know what the limits are. Surely the limits should be lowered, it's a ****ing shambles to be honest. It doesn't take a genius to work out who's wumming yet if they stay within the limits they are allowed to do it. What a load of bollocks.

just to explain, you may think nothing is being done but it is. Your mods work hard to sort it and yesterday I think we banned 4 or 5 wums from the Liverpool board. It took longer yesterday because I was at a game myself but the PM's came from your mods and the bans actioned when I logged on.

Best thing to do, hard I know, is to ignore the wums and trust your mods to sort them, they always do.

Thanks for the quick response cypruss, yesterday on match day it seemed only Ze from our mods was online at the time, so it must have been difficult for him.

I think a global announcement about how you are dealing with the situation and what to do when you see a WUM would be good. Alot of people just set the users on the ignore list but this doesn't ignore the users from everyone so we need people to start reporting the WUMs to crackdown on them faster.

I suppose, he at times makes intelligent comments, then again at times the traffordites make intelligent comments and Arabian Expat isn't as bad as them.

Skylarker is always wumming on the Man Utd board, something needs to be done about this. I think this is pathetic, you would never catch me on the Liverpool board.

I think poor Ze is in therapy today, a hard day I think. I dont want to make a big thing of banning from boards because when you say its possible the PM's start flying with everyone wanting someone banned, its not a major problem on the forum just on a few boards, yours being one.

Its a sad state of affairs but some people do spend their time just tying to cause trouble. Does anyone understand how some people think its funny or clever to make jokes about people losing their lives at a football ground. You know that sadly there are people, thankfully only one or two, who do find it acceptable.

Thanks Syd, it's good to know that something is being done. It must have been hard for you to start on our problems after yesterday's match - I appreciate it.

Whatever the limits are, WUMs will always find ways to achieve their objective. It's just a sad fact of life in the same way that hackers think it is their duty to break any security system irrespective of the damage they do.

At least with the mancs we con self-censor by telling them to take it to the Banter thread.
