I was on JA606 but I don't seem to be able to access that now.

Looking forward to some constructive debating on here!

Hi R&W - just back from 5-a-side, must be mad.
Anyway good to see you on here, I've found it impossible to get on ja606 these last few days - Wiz has seen on twitter that the site has been illegally hacked and Police are investigating. Will be on both sites for the time being and see where most of the guys end up.

Typical bloody wurzels - hankering for the past and looking for that comfy armchair to snooze in.....<laugh>

Get real fellas, ja is (was?) as dated as Jimmy Saville and flares - a bit like your ground at Sheds 'R Us.

This forum has so much more to offer. Approaching 10,000 members and some great features if you want to use them. Perhaps that's just it though, perhaps being stuck in the past suits you.

Come on lads, you know it makes sense - where else can you get abused (verbally that is), as well as have a good chat about our great game of football and many other subjects to boot.

With the Jacks now gone up out of the way :emoticon-0132-envy::emoticon-0132-envy::emoticon-0132-envy: and the Gas gone down the other way <diva><diva><diva>, we need each other to re-establish that old rivalry that many of us remeber so well. <ok>

Unless you just want to talk amongst yourselves of course...........<whistle><whistle>

Q: How many people does it take to change a lightbulb with Sparkey?
A: One. Sparkey to hold it and one to kick the chair out from under him.:emoticon-0116-evilg

    os

there must have been more to ja606 than " as dated as Jimmy Saville and flares " for someone to feel it was a threat....with 6000 0r so on board it was rapidly catching up on the more established ****606 sites.

The layout was pleasing to the eye as opposed to this site, a carbon copy of many others. Granted it is colourful, but often too much going on ! ! !

That's fair enough JG2 - whatever floats your boat. I suppose it's a question of wanting what you've been used to.

I'd been on 606 since the Beeb revamped it some 5 years back, but it was hugely over-moderated and infested with mindless wums and wannabe journos.

As for this being a "carbon copy" of a number of others, you're perfectly correct. That's because the majority use the superb vBulletin platform which offers so much more in functionality. You can chose to get involved with some of the many features it offers or completely ignore them - the choice is up to individual members.

The ja Beeb clone is a dated format, but I agree, it does offer the comfort factor of familiarity - if it ever come back up. <ok>

    Fair play Redprintt!

I have just got back from my second 5-a-side this week - and the first for 18 months without a strapping on my knee.

    Next game Tuesday evening!

    An 11-a-side looming in September - I can't wait!

I hobble for a bit afterwards, but I simply LOVE playing - and will continue as long as I have legs.

Enjoy - its life at its best!
