Heaton definitely signed at Del at least is excited by the two signings in the space of a couple of days. Hopefully this activity will help spur 2 or 3 more potential signings to commit (centre back, creative midfielder and a striker?!). I can live in hope!
So, I guess the real question now is who is going to me our first choice keeper?
Gerken did a great job last season, but Heaton is a fine keeper in his own right. I'd like to see McInnes swap the two around this season and generate a bit of competition.
Some may disagree, but I like that both players are on relatively small contracts. Anderson is two years and Heaton is one, with the option for another. Looks like we're learning our lessons!
He started at an academy in Lancashire (which is in the north!) called MANCHESTER UNITED. He has been a promising prospect for a few years now, but as a goal keeper (thats the guy between the thin, white posts) doesn't reach any age until his mid twenties.
He is now 26 and ready to light the place up.
