Now promise not to laugh, but I just checked the team sheet for last night's match (I don't know why, but I did!) They had Gomes in goal, and on the bench they had Cudicini and Friedel! Does that seem a bit strange?
I maybe wrong but i believe that they have a side playing in the Next-Gen cup which is a european competition for the u20 sides and i think spurs are participating so maybe they didnt have enough outfield players to fill the bench last night as there young lot were playing else where!!???
Sounds like it might account for it! I must say though, I'm surprised that Friedel is happy at being second choice, and the way the bench was nominated, it looks like he was third choice!
Yeah, should have stayed at villa in my opinion. Maybe something to do with the 25 picked for Europa league selection.
