No doubt this will turn into a us v them slanging match or a my dads bigger than your dad but its not meant to be that.

I just want a good ****ing moan, woke up feeling sorry for myself, down in the mouth, pissed off and wondering, why us, why does it have to be this way, will it ever end. Its all about two football teams, us and them and how and why.

Newcastle, a team who dropped into the fizzy pops, have a owner everyone detests, a chairman nobody knows, had a manager everyone liked and respected but sacked him anyway, replaced him with a manager nobody wanted, sold their star striker, replaced him with a man called Kuci who’s name I cant spell and nobody knows, bought a Perch, turned up against Man U with their captain out and their number one goalkeeper injured. They were ****ed, well no, got a point but deserved a win, fought hard and played well, sit on 40 points.

Sunderland, a team on the up, a owner everyone loves and a chairman everyone knows and admires, brought in an experienced proven premier manager, sold their star striker but had a 13 million international and bright young England international ready, bought a Sully and a Sess, lost their number one keeper but had a fantastic stand in, brought their inspirational captain back in, played Birmingham and deserved to win but got stuffed, played well but dropped two bollicks and could not score. On 38 points and have been forever.

This weekend they have Blackpool away, we have Wigan at home, what do you think?

This is not a we are better than them or they are better than us because of rivalry, its about 2 Northeast teams and how we, my team, have everything in place to make me proud and give me a reason to brag and stand tall but still manage to **** it up and make my life hell.

I thought I may feel better getting that off my chest, but I don’t. Bill said on a previous thread how he enjoys a drink, pour another 35,000 glasses mate, we may need them.

Morning Syd. You touched on it last night in the Skunks v Utd thread. It is obvious to me, having watched the match that Newcastle are up for the fight and we, I'm sad to say, are not.

I'm off to work, to sulk.

Both teams will win at the weekend, hate to say it but i can't see the skum getting anything less than 3 points at Blackpool, we will beat Wigan and we'll all be relieved (was going to say HAPPY but i think relieved is more appropriate)

    Good Morning.

Last night we had 11 heroes out on the pitch.

Krul did very well coming in for Harper and to be honest if Nolan had started we might have beaten Man U.

On paper both NE have so called easy games, there no such thing, I'm not taking game about Blackpool lightly on their day they are a good team.

    Good luck against Wigan

i totally agree with the post syd

for me it, unfortunately, comes down to mentality.

they love their team. we love our team. they believe in their team, we have been burned so many ****ing times i dont think we believe yet.

Even when we were above them and the season was going well. if that was the mags they would be putting bets on to win the league, whereas i think a good deal of us were cheering and waiting for the bubble to burst.

It burns my insides like i'm drinking straight from the kettle to say it but i just think we dont believe yet, and as a self fulfilling prophecy that feeling must be shared or must be passed to the team. We just need longer in the prem, we have cast out the yo-yo demon, but **** me if he still isnt in our heads.

    just my 2p.

you did and I'm not having a go at Newcastle in any way, just to rub salt in my open wound I have to say your crowd was far better than ours is. There I'm really pissed off now.

Dig out your old video of our glory years Syd, when I say glory years, our two seventh place finishes under Reid and watch SKP win the Golden boot, I'm sure that will put a smile back on your face and maybe even give you a bit of confidence going into the weekend.
We Will win on saturday, we will win 2-0, Gyan and Henderson to score. You watch.

49k for a week day game which is also on TV not bad.

From the start the crowd got behind the team.

Man U had plenty of fans, as they alway's do but last night we out sang them

As I said we had 11 heroes last night, each lad put a shift in

Three more points and we are safe. I always go for the magic 40 but it's tight tis season.

Sorry to go against the grain... but we didn't have 11 heroes our there last night... Shola was utter ****e!

However, I could re-work it in order for us to say: "We had 10 heroes out there last night + the 12th man (the fans)... so we did have 11 heroes out there".

That's your opinion SOP no problem.

Shola for me plays better when Nolan is in the team but he can be a lazy sod.

well ill have to agree that we do not seem up for the fight, bruces comment about our high expections after finishing 7th twice well ill tell him why.
I am 56 i have been through so much and yet still struggle the expectations come from yes support.
We have always had good support in numbers and we can fill the stadium easy with good football 48,000 does that not make money for the club to spend, do we not average above Everton, Villa, Blackburn, West Ham and how the hell do Wigan survive
Bolton Fulham struggle to get anysort of support yet have been there for years.
We should be well clear of relegation yet here we all are wishing the season over and we all go through it again next.
We need a change we cannot build a team around loan players they are not ours.
Now im off to work pissed off and no doubt have to admit to the mags they deserved there point and whats more the bloody sun is shining and im stuck in a frigging factory till 10pm
