After collecting 22pts in the first 8 games the Spireites heads were as high as their twisted spire since they have dropped down to earth with a bump only collecting 7pts from the next 8 games and the Chairboys currently sit only 8 points below them with a game in hand and having despatched Crewe out of the FA Cup on Tuesday with ease we travel to North Derbyshire with alot more optimism than we would have done after last Saturday There may be changes with Dunne returning Sam Wood could be rested to the bench and Deano could get the call against his old employers.
The Prozac Stadium (well it makes me depressed) has not been a happy hunting ground for the Chairboys having lost on all their visits but surely it time for a change and stop calling me Shirley<diva>

think there will be one change, dunne will come in at left back and wood moved to left mid. that leaves knott, scowen and lewis competing for two places - good luck sorting that one out gaz!!! (knott and scowen for me)

every bad run has to end eventually, hopefully we can finally win up here!!!

We've lost our last 3 games up there 4-1,4-0 and 3-1 so even a point would be a cracking result.

Presumably we have a different team and a different manager this time so stats are, as often the case, irrelevant.

    Spireite in peace

You may have caught us just a week or two late I'm afraid. We don't look as fragile as we did after the Morecambe result had knocked us for 6..well 4. I know you have a poor record at the Proact ( understatement ) but this doesn't mean much really.

I do think on paper we have the best squad in this division but alas we play on grass not paper and you certainly will have a chance if you get at us.

Man to watch out for :- No surprises here. Gary Roberts. Although if you take your eye of Olly Banks ( 3 goals in 2 games ) he will hurt you.

Have a safe trip up to our patch and back home again.

Cheers and welcome to our forum. I think your side are too strong for League 2. Surprised they came back down.

first half was dire, we never got going, couldn't pass the ball and chesterfield deserved their lead. the second goal was an absolute killer because of the timing of it really

second half we were a lot better but still struggled to get into the box, the doc could have scored a header from 6 yards which was unlucky really... billy knott had his worst game in a Wycombe shirt by quite a distance, Sammy wood had no support going forward or defensivly from him as he tried to play too much of a central role. gaz bringing on Morgan for McClure seemed a strange one for me as if you need a goal, McClure surely is quite likely to get it

im also not one who likes to moan about referees (honest!) but this guy today got a couple of key decisions wrong. as I hear was mentioned on player, one of their guys should have gone for a horrid challenge on PCH and another player should have gone for a second yellow card, with a challenge to break down play that for any other player would have been a standard yellow card. there should also have been a penalty at the end for a clear push on max kretch, however it was probably too late to make a difference but still

we need a win soon and a strong Christmas period, this league season is in danger of disappearing
