BREAKING NEWS Martin Jol, the current Fulham FC manager, is being detained at Putney Police Station on suspicion of causing GBH against Dimitar Berbatov. Jol is claiming he was defending himself against what can only be described as 'being led down the garden path' and being made to eat humble pie after Berbatov guaranteed he'd sign for him on the back of a packet of Players cigarettes.

What odds on the Dempsey deal finally going through somewhere between 11pm and midnight? Can't blame Liverpool for leaving it until the last minute. It's only in the last day or so that anyone said anything about him wanting a move.
There are a ton of clubs who want him but he's refusing to settle for anything less than Liverpool. I can see him stuck in limbo come midnight. He is a last resort for Rodgers, if he gets his targets (Sturridge) then won't need Dempsey.
Umm, yes. I also found it curious that the only three showing interest - L'Pool, Sunderland and Villa - all have American owners.
