The worrying thing is it really doesn't bother me anymore. When I heard the result against Burnley i just shrugged and carried on doing what I was doing. Apathy has become deeply ingrained in me.
I went to Cray Wanders vs. and was treated to a good 4 - 0 win down at Hayes Lane. Hard fought victory which now sees them sitting top of the Isthmian north division for Christmas. Only AFC Sudbury have better form at the moment (five out of five). Hoping that this year is the year they can get back into the Premier Division and start working back into the Conference Divisions. New stadium being built, bit more money behind them, maybe in the next 5 to 10 years we could be looking for League 2 status!
"You know how important the first goal is". In the last 2 games we've scored the first TWO goals, Karel, and still lost the lead! With 'Mare running the club and Fraeye running the team we have a real win double. How does Roland pick them? If Roland's "Plan" was to run our club into the ground he couldn't do a better job.
Agree 100%. I don't even bother listening to the post match comments any more, the only reason I hear about them is through here. I also just had a chance to see the highlights. Burnley clearly have a good side - but they're more of an industrious unit. We made them look like Brazil. Slick one touch passing was leaving us horribly exposed. Their wingers in Arfield and Boyd aren't even quick.
The same as at Brighton, our defence looks about as stable as a sandcastle in the face of a tsunami. As soon as the opposition score, you know we are beaten. An element of that is bad coaching - can a former top level player like Diarra really respect Carol? I think not. There is also the fact that we have too many moderate or bad players (scouted & recruited by ?). It's easy to have scapegoats in this position but Fox makes Greg Halford and Martin Crainie look like Paolo Maldini. We will know our fate by the end of January. If the current squad is only supplemented with 2-3 foreign journeymen duds, attendances should drop below 5000 in retribution.
4-0 defeat against a team who' ve struggled to score lately. And the club say what exactly? No sacking, which would have seemed a good possibility in a better run club. No comment about how successfull our recruitment is. We're now penultimate, but the club are bunkered down praying Mr Bean can pull a rabbit out of his dunce's cap. Pathetic really.
Chicago Addick's excellent article today hits every nail on the head Carol sat in the Stands and undermined Powell Carol was foisted on Riga Carol was Head of Player Recruitment under Peeters and Luzon Carol is a f*****g t**t
Karel's form as Charlton Interim Head Coach Needless to say, this is bang on relegation form. Our defence is letting us down majorly, which does not surprise me given that they have no real experience between them. Secondly, we have conceded 3+ goals in a match four times in nine games, which means that over our next three games (Bristol City, Wolverhampton or Nottingham Forest) in one of them we will let in 3 goals or more. I never liked Luzon but at least in this seasons statistics his team only let in 3 or more goals three times in sixteen games, one of them being a cup match. One thing, especially with the field that I'm in, is that statistics never lie!
Powelly's last seven games as Charlton Manager To be objective I've taken the same length of games in which Powell was sacked. To keep with @Royston Vasey theory that it was Karel undermining Powell and the others, we were seven points better off, but still a leaky defence, but with the likes of Morrison, Wiggins, in there it was not as bad as we are seeing now. We may not have scored as many, but if we the board got rid of Powell and we were in a better position form wise, it is baffling why they're not getting rid of the other imbecile.
Gary Hillman, the Cray owner is a palice fan. Stay away from Hayes Lane totally as Bromley are riddled with palice t***s as well.
I will take head thanks for the heads up I used to go to Tooting and Mitchum quite often as a kid and followed their results until they had some kind of arrangement with Palace...wouldn't touch em with a barge pole now . Are Welling Palarse free ?
I wasn't a Powell fan as Charlton manager, but imagine how someone who got 5 England caps felt looking behind him to see Carol "Rymans" Fray taking notes on him,
"Let's not make Charlton now into a team which must go everywhere and must win and must play better than the home side". There you have it. In black and white.
