He's looked top top quality. I would hate to think where we would be with someone like Varney starting in his place. Perhaps thats a bit unfair on Varney but you get what I mean. Thank the lord young Sam Bryam has come through as well. He's looked good wherever hes played. What is his natural position? Austins a hell of a find and is proving quite good in the air as well, which is not something I knew about previously. Still leaking goals though, but 3 wins in a week so no complaints from me.
Think Varney has something about him, but until he starts to show it I'd be a bit iffy about starting him. Diouf and White out wide works; at least for the time being. I think Byram's naturally a wide midfielder, but he's looked top quality at full back as well. We've unearthed another gem there. Honestly think the defence is just down to the fact we chop and change too much. Peltier isn't a left back. Either Drury or Pugh should play there. Preferably Drury unless Pugh fancies repeating his Everton performance on a regular basis! Austin is an absolute monster
And the common denominator is Warnock introduced them all into the team. What a manager. Just hope the new boys give all the aforementioned decent pay rises
I'd put Diouf and Beckford in the same bracket of deplorable people, and I'm more than happy we have Diouf as opposed to the moaning git now at Huddersfield.
Pray tell, exactly what "deplorable" acts has he done while at Leeds? Exactly what "deplorable" acts as he done in the last 5 years? I am (and always have been) very happy he is here and while he keeps his nose clean and keeps ticking along in the way he is, I will back him to the hilt As for Warnock, very glad he decided to at last use Brown and Austin together in a league match. Long may that continue, the spine is so important
For the record, I don't have a problem with Diouf in the slightest - I just know people, like Simon, who aren't particularly keen on him. I love the fact he's a bit feisty and unpredictable - certainly rather have him playing for us than against us!
I would have to agree. And I see Sheldon (**** username from a **** show btw) is once again ignoring facts. I also think it's a massive stretch, Boab, to say Diouf and Beckford are the same kind of person.
It's generally very easy to understand a programme that plays to the lowest common denominator. Anyway, the comment was just something that's been in my system ever since you changed your username, needed to let it out. What was wrong with Elmo?
Beckford is a nasty piece of **** (in the dressing room) and Diouf is a nasty piece of **** outside the dressing room.
Being arrogant is a whole different ball game to Diouf's record in my opinion. He was also sold by Sunderland for causing problems in the dressing room (although that seems to be an isolated incident).
Diouf is actually great to have in the dressing room, he's very popular with his fellow players. His attitude to things outside of the dressing room and on the pitch, results in major problems for him and are mostly well documented. Beckford is simply an arrogant twat who didn't make himself popular at Everton due to his attitude and demands. Most teams would avoid Beckford due to his attitude and I'm glad he no longer plays for Leeds.
With or without his perceived problems off the field/in the dressing room, Diouf is by far a better footballer than Beckford. For that reason alone I'd take him over Becks.
Some people will point out that Beckford scored goals, forgetting how many goals he could have scored if he had even slight technical ability. Diouf's game is about holding the ball, making the pass, taking time away from the opposition (when it is required), scoring goals and his movement off the ball. There's really no debate about who is the better player and who most Leeds fans would wish to see in a Leeds shirt.
