I was going to put this on the Music Thread, but rather self-indulgently decided it was worth a thread of it's own.

Today's Danny Baker show (probably my favourite radio listening) featured a surprising collaboration between two of my heroes - Hugh Cornwell and John Cooper Clarke. They've made an album together and JCC sings on it - rather well!

Danny Baker is hilarious and very under rated IMO. He also has CFC and WHU which can only add to his popularity.

He is a great broadcaster, at his best unscripted and interacting with ordinary people.

I remember watching that penultimate episode of the Sopranos when Tony knows he has to whack Chris, thinking "****ing hell that's Evidently Chickentown by JCC as the soundtrack". Thing is though, it ****ing worked despite its Salfordness.
 
Some questions JCC gets asked:
What are occassional tables the rest of the time?
Why only one Monopolies Commission?
If Jesus was Jewish why the Spanish name?
How deep would the sea be if there weren't any sponges down there?

Good interview Strolls, I always forget to listen to Danny Baker, now I'll remember.
