Yep. Thank goodness, if only to keep the spawn from that bloody show off the top spot. I prefer the original, but a good cover, nevertheless.
I don't mind X-Factor spawn, but James Arthur is a ****ing awful singer. Still, at least it was raising money for charity.
There have been plenty of talented and decent artists to come out of X-Factor: Olly Murs, JLS, etc. Had Lucy Spraggan won, I'd almost certainly had bought her winners single especially if it had been one of her own songs rather than a cover. Unfortunately the most talented person on the show this year left due to illness. That pretty much destroyed my enthusiasm for the show this year, basically watched only about one or two episodes after that. As it turned out, one of the least talented singers of the bunch won.
Jahmene is a miles better singer. James won because he had all the young girls voting for him because he did all those cheesy love songs!
Oh good, I thought I was alone in not liking James Arthur. He can sing as he showed when he sang a couple of decent songs, but most of the time he sang like he had constipation. And what his winners song was all about, I have no idea.
I'm pleased to say I haven't heard the winners song and even more pleased that a charitable cause came top. I am however amazed that I've seen 'articles' entitled 'Is James Arthur the best looking X-Factor contestant ever'.
