... and they'll get a bit heavier, hopefully, as the worthy work continues. Up next - getting a few bent, lying South Yorks coppers sent to jail. Oh no, they will "retire on health grounds", and thus somehow be off the hook.
So are you sure there wasn't at least one Liverpool fan who hadn't drunk too much and pushed to get a better look. A tragedy but changing accidental death on a certificate will not bring anybody back and I am sure nobody wanted it to happen.
Sure, some fans in that end may well have been drunk. But would you attribute more significance to that SUPPOSITION than to the FACT that South Yorkshire Police significantly amended 164 witness statements such as to focus blame away from policing on the day and onto the behaviour of supporters? If South Yorks Police had acted properly on the day, why would they need to go to the enormous trouble of tampering with evidence on an industrial scale like that?
I have no more faith in the South Yorkshire police statements than those of Liverpool fans or am I trying to start an argument, however I am sure no one meant it to happen therefore they were accidental deaths. I am a husband, a son and a father and feel sorry for the family's of those people who died that day simply doing something my family and I enjoy doing. It was different times then, policing and fan behaviour very different to now. ThisismyEngland to and glad I live with our police rather than a lot of others forces around the world, they have been proved to have done wrong, apologised lets move foreward, unless there is other motives to keep this going...
Just so I'm clear on this, you think a wholly adequate outcome when a police force fraudulently alters 164 witness statements is an apology? Wow, I wish I believed an apology would be enough to get me off the hook if I committed a fraudulent act of equal seriousness while doing my job. It would be wonderful to have no very serious deterrent in place to prevent me from doing something equally serious again in future. Just say sorry and move forward. I could always say, look boss, there are far more fraudulent people in other countries so just get over it, OK?
Do you think any policeman on that terrible day meant for this to happen, I am fairly confident I can answer that question. If any one there broke the law then they should be punished, many have been already, (some unfairly lenient I agree), hopefully more arrests will follow, justice for all, the families have there justice. You have misrepresented my arguement above, tried to riducule it, infact re written my words to suit your arguement, now where have we seen that before.
