Have been reading the posts on here for a while, but just got round to registering. I know Blunderside mentioned this a few days ago, but there is now an article in HDM mentioning it too. As far as I am aware he is out of contract, so would be a "free" transfer. Also wages should not be a problem as all of the B'pool players were supposed to be on aprox £10k p/w in the prem, but that has now been reduced to £5k p/w after relegation. Have seen him a few times and thought he looked ok, would you guys be happy with him as our new No1? difficult to tell how decent he is as B'pool's defence was so awful.
I'd have him over Guzan. But it's another one of those speculative stories they always publish. Silly season is in progress.
I disagree, i can't see him leaving tbh. He's a good keeper for this level but he wasn't one of their better players. Charlie Adam, DJ Campbell, Vaughan etc might go elsewhere but never thought Gilks would command a move away from Blackpool. He's hardly top of everyone's shopping list.
Think he'll take the contract at blackpool, or take up an offer from a higher championship club than us. Decent keeper though if his wages aren't an issue
