The biggest talking point for many last night won’t refer to on-field matters. After 19 minutes and four seconds of the game against West Ham, City fans chanted “City Till I Die” – as they have done for close to a year now.

But for the first time the chant was met with boos from other sections of the home support. Hull City fans booing other Hull City fans for chanting about Hull City – how has it come to this?

You know who you are. Shameful.

We really need more threads about this subject. Could someone out there please make another one rather than using the threads that already exist?

I'm sorry if it's so confusing. Most other threads head off in various directions. I am pointing out that, for once, our local rag has seen the perverse nature of what happened last night.

It's a notable change in opinion from the HDM. Do keep up.

    Discuss.

    They have called it right...

    City Till We Die booed

The biggest talking point for many last night won’t refer to on-field matters. After 19 minutes and four seconds of the game against West Ham, City fans chanted “City Till I Die” – as they have done for close to a year now.

But for the first time the chant was met with boos from other sections of the home support. Hull City fans booing other Hull City fans for chanting about Hull City – how has it come to this?

Wherever you stand on the name change debate, there is simply no getting away from the fact that it is starting to overshadow anything else that goes on at the club.

Last night should be remembered as the night Hull City’s record signing marked his debut with a goal. It should be remembered as the night Hull City fielded arguably their strongest ever side, marking the dawn of an exciting new era.

Instead, for many, it will sadly be remembered as the night Hull City fans turned on their own.

First off its already been discussed in other threads. There have also been about 2 dozen threads over the last 2 days regarding the name change, the allams, booing, chanting, etc. People are already dropping off the forum for not just this reason but peoples reaction to it.

Are you just trying to piss everyone off? We have plenty of threads out there in which to Discuss this issue without more threads being created.

It's about time there was some absolute comment. FFs, the Newcastle Chronicle would have ripped this damaging issue apart months ago.

Theres only one person to blame for this disgrace and that is Allam and his statement last Thursday. It was meant and deliberately engineered to divide the fans. The song City til I die has been sung for many years. It is now sung at 1904 mins after kick off. 1904, you know, the same number that has been put on the new badge by Allam, without consultation which he promised but failed to deliver.
1904, the year the club was formed. That song has been sung at different times during games over many seasons. It was sung again towards the end of last nights match by supporters pationately backing their team.

Im afraid the fact is that Allam has deliberately engineered a divide in the mass of City supporters, Hull City supporters that is one and all. He could have forgotten this divisive name change for the good of unity for all concerned and it would have gone away and been forgotten about. Now this latest press conference has done nothing but cause major friction between supporters. I have always thought of myself as anti name change. Many are pro change, that is democracy. But I have always supported the team out on the pitch and have never booed fellow City supporters. What happened last night has turned into a national disgrace. Can it ever be repaired. Yes, by the veryman who started this whole divisive situation in the first place.

Havent you? Did you boo the ****ers who ran on the pitch against Cardiff last game of the season, that nearly ruined our season?

Did you boo or tell them to ****ing shut up when ****s were having a go at Damien Delaney, Garcia or a numerous other City scapegoats over the years.

    I ****ing did.

I didnt boo last night but plenty around me did. There was a groundswell last night, people are sick of it. I doubt there will be booing again at 19:04, i reckon its a one off.

Well said tigers40. I would add that the only way that harmony can happen is if Allam ****s off. Harmony and Assem/Ehab Allem are not conducive. They are polar opposites.

    Allam out...and quickly.

Allam is of course to blame but he shouldn't be able to control people that easily. The people who booed are solely responsible for their actions. They're not City fans and we'd be far better off without people like that.

    Allam out. **** fans out.

HDM have not. The biggest talking point was the quality of the games first 3 goals. The game was what mattered most between 8pm and 10pm. Thankfully it was much better than many thought possible. West Ham by far are the best team we have played so far this season.

oh for gods sake , im a CTWD member and i can see the booing for what it was .

Their boos didnt offend me one bit , it was a large group of seemingly uncoordinated people making public
their thoughts on the anti name change song ritual , this boo from what i can tell
is a support to Allam and at the same time a call for those not wanting to climb down from the name change to do just that .

As an adult i accept their opinion , it was their only murmur of the 90 mins and if only they sang either
a pro Allam , pro Hull Tigers song instead , would it make more sense .

All the way through this Name Change thaaang there has been a nasty element to those opposed to the change - thankfully the public side of CTWD
hasn't resorted to the ****e i read on here every day .

I dont want the name to change , point the finger at Allam not get all hysterical at fellow fans who happen to have a less rigid viewpoint .

Those here who wanted it to be the main news got their wish and no doubt Allam is laughing. It was actually irrelevant at that match but the more people want to talk the name change the more Allam will try and use it.

As it happened Chazz I didn't boo them. I thought what utter idiots they were but I didn't boo them. If the pro name changers want to do something in defiance of the 1904, fine by me, but booing isn't he answer.

I wouldn't call them pro name changers they are more pro Allam doing whatever he wants people.

Correct. Only the fact it is sung @ 19.04 has anything to do with the Allam name change situation.

You have no idea who was actually booing or how long they have supported Hull City. We have sh.it fans on both sides of the argument. Maybe the silent majority are now starting to have there say and/or are simply fed up of it all.

If you want to really see anger then get yourself to Newcastle if you can PLT.
