He should of had his operation before he was brought back against Fulham.

This. Plus am I alone in thinking that this might put people off a cheeky bid and keep him here for at least another window?

It's nice to have players of the undoubted quality HBA has, but when they start to look quite a lot injury prone, when does it become a hindrance?

I think he's in danger of becoming one of those 'lost' talents to injury unfortunately.

Sure he's still young with plenty time on his side but if you can't steadily develop for lack of time on the pitch, it'll inevitably hold a player back.
Additionally, how much are these injuries removing something from his physical ability each time?

HBA is player we need to be an ever-present to be as fit and sharp as possible and how much have we been able to say that since he joined?

They wont be putting bids in while he's out injured, so he's here for a while yet. He might appreciate the fact that we stayed loyal to him.

It's quite ironic really isn't it?

That said, QPR have started winning since they left Taraabt (spelling) out of their side.

I do want him back and firing next season though. <ok>

Hatem could become a legend at SJP!

Just willing this not to be a Dyer type sitaution, where you're waiting for the break down.

The final nail in the jigsaw out for rest of season, we look lack luster without him

To be fair I wouldn't rule it out but if he did leave I'd expect it to be one of the bigger clubs than yourselves respectfully. He is ridiculously talented and I think the top 4 clubs could find a way to harness that.

Until he stays fit though I doubt Liverpool or the big top 4 clubs would fancy him.

If he had had his op months ago and just given time to heal he wouldn't of broken down on 2 comebacks. Not saying he was rushed back but I'd rather the problem was fixed properly than piss farted about hoping time would heal.

I still think Liverpool stand an outside chance of making the top 4. They are not a million miles away and there run in looks okay.

Depends on whether Rodgers or another wants to take a gamble on a player who has missed the best part of the past three seasons (and I'm not accusing him of being injury prone before anyone says anything).

Shouldn't that be 'nail in the coffin' or 'the final piece of the jigsaw'?

They might scrape 4th but they are no longer a big club in amongst that top 4. The likes of Chelsea, Man C, Man U are the big hitters now followed by the Arse. Then Spurs with Liverpool coming after that. Just not the pull they once were. I'm sure that if they stick with Rodgers they'll continue to improve but they just don't have that draw for players anymore. Too many poor seasons off the belt and too many bad headlines.

I'm not convinced HBA would be interested unless they are gonna line his pockets. I think they are trying to get to that stage of steering away from such policies. I was told the other day though its already a done by someone who knows a scout at Stoke. He is close to Carver who has said it will happen and Carroll will return. He told me to put money on both. He usually gets nothing wrong but I'm still dubious as its all he said she said.
