She is chatting ****. Stoke are defending very deep and every time Hazard gets the ball there are loads of players around him. Hazard is already a better player than Cole ever was.

I know. I laughed as it popped up on the BBC site.

I mean everyone compares player but Joe Cole. Hazard has a long way to go before he becomes like Joe 'Messi*' Cole

    *in training <laugh>

Who on the Hell is she? Anyway, it's easy to laugh at Cole but he was very good at his best, Hazard would be doing well to be as good as Joe was at Chelsea so early in his career.

Thats what I am getting at. Is she slagging Cole off or Hazard or both?

Cole was a good player back in the day.

Hazard got another assist for creating Oscars 1st goal against Juventus. Hazard now has 7 assists in all competitions.

Hazard is over-rated, especially by the Stoke defence today... He can only kick the ball with one foot, yet every time he got it the Stoke players seemed to go nuts with worry and rush either at him or towards the goal away from him... I thought he'd gained a reputation overseas for playing well, but it looked like it was actually for mass-murdering the way those knees were shaking, it was ridiculous. Thing is, it's happened in pretty much all the matches so far, and you'd have to say, as soon as the teams stop ****ting themselves every-time he touches it, he'd not be too difficult to stop scoring, if not nullify completely.

If you're going to compare him with anyone, he seems a lot like Ben Arfa for us, except potentially a bit more physical and technically better. Very reliant on the one foot, likes direct running and cutting onto said one foot to shoot as often as possible. Just like Ben Arfa, once Hazard's had a few games, the other teams will have worked him out and he'll have less impact, but will come up with magic every now and again to remind you why you paid the money you did.

Don't take that as a slight, he's a good player and a very good addition (among others), he's just not the best premier league player.

It's not an insult to either player. Hazard has the potential to become one of the best players of his generation, just as Joe did in his prime. Given their skills and at the same age, I would say they are about level, it remains to be seen if Eden can take it further than Joe could.

Joe Cole was a wizard up to the day he he had his injury! Sadly, he never returned from it the same player! Great guy, Chelsea through him like a stick of rock! But fate interfered with it!

Joe Cole was a brilliant player from his youngest days, and only injury halted his progress to the very top.
Hazard is equally gifted, very young, and playing in a League well beyond his experience, with a new team, and in a foreign country. Yet he is still managing to impress most supporters. When and if Chelsea ever get their midfield sorted, and the link between defence and attack is formed,he will go up several levels. Don't forget, most foreign imports take a whole season to settle in. we've only played 5 games !!!
