****ing hope not. I literally hate this player, all the whoring he's done over the past year or so is absolutely comical. He's mercenary **** personified and I really hope he's chosen City or United.
I know, I just wished we were after some real world class talent like teenage boys from Southampton or Gervinho. The lad is class regardless of where he ends up. Would prefer Hulk myself but there is no doubt this player would improve any squad.
If hes chosen Chelsea he is a total ******. You have no manager, no stability, finished 6th in the league and are about to lose the majority of your squad in a year or 2. You may of won the CL and the FA Cup but you were miles and miles behind in the league . You play exclusively through the middle and have a number of players who play his roll. You also have a terrible record of ruining young players, you njust dont have the youth set up or the ability to coach young players, regardless of who is manager. Rumours of you offering double what United and City are offer explain why he might choose you as theres no other reason at this moment ( CL win means nothing, he wont experience it ). If you are paying him £220k a week ( double United and Citys highest offer ) then I cannot express how insane that is, what about when he needs a new contract, or if chelsea want to sign other players who think, well I am better than hat 21 year old so wheres my £250k, £300k, £400k.
1. European Champions son, this title has given us the foundations to revitalise the club and shave off a load of deadwood, we have a fantastic youth squad winning the FA Youth Cup in style. You slightly contradict yourself by saying we have no manager then criticising the way we play - which is down to the fact we have no manager and don't have the players to play the kind of football United do (no wingers or prolific goal scorer). Incase you hadn't noticed, we are buying Hazard to replace the players leaving in a year or two. 2. Hmm, old players yes, young players.... which ones have we ruined exactly? 3. Exactly, rumours, there's loads of them flying round. Some say he'll be on £120k, some say £150k, some say the ridiculous sums of money you mentioned. All in all, we won two trophies, you won none. That isn't a dig at United by any means so don't take it the wrong way. How can you possibly criticise someone for wanting to join the European Champions? Even if we didn't win the thing, we'd still be able to afford him in which case I'd understand your point.
Sorry I came across the wrong way there. I was looking at it as in if you had a choice right now and were a fan of none of the clubs who would you choose. Chelsea just seem a strange choice and abramovich is the stupidest **** alive when it comes to signing players then demanding managers play them when they didnt want them in the first place. Ruining or hampering young players, they are too quickly pushed aside and you dont seem to have the time or understanding to bring the best out. I wouldnt want to be a young pro at Chelsea. Youth player....,.completely different as you dont compete with the first team but a young player in the full squad never do very well, they dont develop much and dont improve unlike at other clubs. United, Barcelona etc etc. Experienced heads suit Chelsea better. Like I said, the 2 trophies you won shouldnt mean very much, he didnt win them and winning 2 cups doesnt mean you go on to bigger and better things. They are cups, anything can happen and the best team rarely ever wins a cup. If he revied your last season he will see as most chelsea fans will, the 2 cups aside it was very poor. Just seems a strange choice and I wont pretend I dont think its 100% about money if he joins you guys, you just cant offer the footballing side or the stability that United can offer. I will take heart that at least 1 club has put City in their place though. Drogs, if he gets £200k+ a week however unlikely it may seem, will it have any effect of FFP considering most new signings will want parity on the wages ( Hazards 21, a 26 year old striker in his prime would want at least the same and no doubt a good chunk more ). Losing Terry, Lampard, Drogba and co will help but how much are they on and how much is your wage bill. My gut says hes coming to United but tbh, I just want United to sign another young player who we can mould into a superstar.
To be frank you don't know what you're talking about. You can make a case for him going to United, City or Chelsea. Our 6th place finish is a red herring, most fans (bias aside) would still have us top 3 in the country. You don't know what he's been offered at any of the 3 clubs so stop believing everything the sun/mirror etc prints. He may be coming to us becuase we can guarantee him first team football and/or his chosen position. No way City can do that for instance. I love the way everytime we're linked with a flair player people say they wont suit our style...err that's exactly why we are after them to create a more entertaining and expansive brand of football. It...not...rocket...science.
Sorry, I meant in first team terms. I explained a little better in my reply to drogs. Your underage teams are good, they are run by a different set of coaches I presume as thats how most clubs are run. The first team manager will have little to do with it bar maybe watching a game or 2 now and again. Young players in your full squad dont do well. SWP was highly rated and fell away, Robben probably developed alot less than he would of at Barcelona or United ( he was very very good still, just not as good as he could/should of been ).
Never said he wouldnt suit your style, just that your club and young players dont work well. You are easily at worst the 3rd best, imo 2nd best side as I think looking at things over a longer period helps and Citys 1 title doesnt change that. We all know big clubs win the league b2b.
After wining the Champions League Chelsea we were going to attract big name players such as Hazard and Hulk.
He hasn't handled the transfer in an especially dignified way, but anyway that's football. Doesn't he play the same position as Mata? Mata will move more central or what?
I think he can play anywhere offensively, attacking midfield just behind the striker and on either flank. He played left wing for Lille.
We are on target for FFP Monitoring period 1 and MP2. Uefa is letting clubs write off fees and wages agreed on contract pre 1 August 2010 for MP1 and MP2. So if 70m of your losses are from fees and contracts agreed pre 2010, you can write these off. Thanks for your concern though.
Shwan can sleep easy now, he was really worried about us, touching really. I think Hazard wants the number 10 role so if he comes to us, in theory he will play off Torres with Mata on the left.
