Hazard: 0 Goals 2 Assists Downing: 0 Goals 0 Assists It does make me laugh how quick the media and Sky are to bring up the price tags of Chelsea players when you have the likes of Liverpool spending with seemingly no return on investment. Obviously our media are clueless about any football outside the Premier League (well any football really) but anybody that follows continental football could see Hazard was worth the money. In fact it's probably as assured signing we've made since JFH In my view. I could be wrong and it could all go down hill from here but don't be surprised if Hazard is in contention for individual awards this year. Had he signed for United the media would be raving about him.
lets not forget Suarez that bloke couldnt hit a barn door with a banjo at this point waking up every morning a Liverpool player has that effect on you just ask Nando he's only just getting over that nightmare .
I agree, and I have a feeling Eden will be up there in the awards at the end of the season. He's doing wonders for my fantasy team too !
DL- It would be nice to think the media write unbiased reports! For many years I convinced myself this was the case! Of course they are people like everyone else who have to do "what they are good at" to earn a wage. They are like everyone else in the sense they all have their favourites! Read their reports and guess who they like and dont like!
Suarez is one of the most overrated players in the league atm. It makes me laugh when Scousers say he is better than Torres was for them. The kid is excellent.... compared to the rest of the Liverpool team. The reason he doesn't want to leave is because he'd look ordinary playing for a team like City, Barca, Real or even United/Chelsea/Arsenal.
Hazard will be a great player. Don't know about awards come the end of the season just yet. It was just one game but hes going to be a star player for years to come. Also, most people, thats right people, are better than Downing so its inevitable that Hazard would do more in 5 minutes. If you watch the higlights in slow motion you will see he actually does more in one fifth of a second than Hazard did last season, the summer and the first game of this season
you're right Torres had 65 goals in 102 games more than a goal ever other game Suarez has 15 goals in 45 games also take into account that Torres went off the boil in his last season and a half at Liverpool it makes his goal record even more impressive .
Hazard is a great buy for us, can't wait to see Oscar, Mata, Ramires and Marin gel as a team. At last, unepredictability and speed and SKILL !!!!!
