David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko have finally stopped screwing around and agreed a deal to fight for the IBF and WBO titles.

With a nod to Dereck Chisora who, as another article states, has been royally mucked about, this is the fight everyone wanted to see.

We're going to have a unified world heavyweight champion. Will it be Haye, who says:
or will Wladimir shut him up? Thoughts?

    I genuinely have no clue.

Anything is possible in this one. Logic says that Wlad keeps him off for 8-9 rounds before getting to Haye.
Whatever happens, it is going to be a great circus and should do great things for the heavyweight scene.

Britain and Ireland has quite a depth of talent in this division at the minute. The exposure this fight will give just has to be welcomed. Even the Audley farce gave boxing a bit of a rub. I can see this doing more.

I posted the chisora thread before this one was signed. It just confirms how badly he has been messed about as far as I can see.

Honestly reckon the Chisora fight might have been to goad Haye into fighting him.

When the UK non-boxing fans see that a nobody is fighting someone their own "World Champion" won't, it makes Haye look like a coward.

By agreeing to fight Chisora, Wlad gave Haye little choice but to accept HIS terms and sign the fight.

    About time too.

This doesn't actually sound as far fetched as some would think - I was amazed that Derek Chisora got a title shot and was hugely unsurprised when it all fell through because of 'injury'.

I reckon this summer will be a totally awesome event - more exciting than Haye vs Valuev... <cheers>

I think for all of Haye's "i'm gonna knock him out talk", it will be much the same as the Valuev fight with him fighting carefully, I think he will win and would not be surprised if he does catch Vlad and put him on his arse. Never easy getting a points win in Germany tho!

Watched Ringside with the two of them on, WK comes across as a tidy feller, think Hayes trying to alienate as many of his old fans as he can.
