if it was a personality contest, sure Wlad deserves it, but I believe that Haye would give the boxing blue ribband division the rocket up it's preverbial that it needs

they were defiantely great times. the lack of interest from terrstrial tv over the years has definately damaged the sport

yeah I agree, it was probably the time that sky got involved that boxing fell imo, I remember tyson fighting in his prime, and vividly remember the bruno foght with him, was working in plymouth at the time, and the whole place ground to a halt to watch the fight on tv, we were all sitting around drinking beers with the customers at about 2am lol

hope so, he made this a grudge fight, seen the interviews where he wouldn't even speak to vlad directly, just childish , but anyway he needs to concentrate on fighting rather than the media high he revels in, he should take lessons from Joe Calzaghe who has been a gent and a great fighter

seems he isn't. he is blaming the fact he broke his big toe 3 weeks ago which stopped him launching his attacks - he just took off his shoe and showed it to the watching HBO audience :steam:

His poor pinky..... broken toes are the norm in martial arts, even during fights/tournaments. You simply get your coach to strap it up and away you go. Granted it hurts but, pardon the pun, those are the breaks! As he was complaining about a failure to launch his attack I thought it might at least be his big toe, but hils little pinky LOL. That has no real issue when rising from the flat stance to launch forward from the ball of the foot/big toe.

ah well, so much for the possible lesson in humility

Makes me even gladder I didn't pay for it <cheers>
