Morning all on a grey, damp Easter weekend. A big dose of relief yesterday with that result and we could have been 4 or 5 goals up instead of sweating again. I saw a lot more effort yesterday and I also saw young Viera getting back to his best, whilst still not understanding what PH sees in O'Kane as yet again he was Leeds worst player in a critical area of the pitch. No Forshaw hurt us and just pleased that Viera worked tirelessly. Other bonuses were Pontus and Pennington along with Berardi, but Dallas was the weak link at the back compared to those 3. Yes some will never give Pennington credit, but after reading and listening to pundits and ex players Pennington played well. Pablo must be given a new deal and has obviously walked player of the season. Alioski was great too and PH mentioned that he was on the phone constantly between flights and told PH he wants to play even though he didnt get home until 2am yesterday morning from International duty. Ekuban was back to 'looking like a striker' after his poor performance last week. Give him credit he scored which was his first senior goal with us and his first in 14 starts. Hope his confidence is boosted for the rest of the season. Lassoga who I expected to get a couple was poor and rightly subbed.

So have your views changed on the players or management. Lets be frank PH has had only 2 wins and the performances have been dire with some players going backwards. He had 2 weeks to stop the rot and he seems to have finally got his message over with most of the players putting a shift in. More of the same will give him my vote of confidence for next season, but if we go backwards yet again then for me he needs to go because he cant obviously do it at Leeds.

Didnt follow game as I was at work and only read a couple of comments here. Games against Villa and Fulham will be a better indicator as they are the standard we must aspire to. Bolton are a near bottom hampered by a transfer embargo and wage cap of 10k per player imposed by the fl I believe so hardly much of a benchmark

The straw clutchers will see this as the start of the March to European glory. But those with a clue will know that Bolton are a very poor side with nothing to play for/ Nothing has changed. Rad, Orta, Ph and the first team squad all need shipping out or are leaving of their own accord. Yesterday changed nothing.

Unfortunate my views have not changed and it would take more than one win to do so.
I am looking for real intent for next season, but not holding my breath.
I did not see the game yesterday but had to rely on the radio so cannot pass comment on the game itself.
My forecast was for us to win by one so I got that right, but did say somewhere that anything less than 2 clear goals was not good enough. As one swallow does not make a summer neither does one win.

Morning Doc, I agree with what you say about Dallas. Why Heckingbottom didn't have faith in Pearce. He impressed against the Wendies, so why?

Why Leeds gave Dallas another 3 year deal before Christmas????

I'm pleased for Ekuban getting on the scoresheet.

    Alioski was great imo.

Saiz didn't want to pass the ball. It was like he didn't have faith in his team mates. He wanted to do it all himself.

Saiz is a worry as without doubt he is the most gifted at the club, but there are times when he is greedy times when the simple ball would be the best option. Is a trust thing with his team mates or is he in it for glory. To play the greedy style you need to be an Eddie Gray or George Best and get a high % of sucess, I would guess that Samu has a low % of sucess. Yes he has goals and assists but his assists ratio would be amazing if he looked up

I think anyone who likes to follow the fortunes of any team in any sport will get more pleasure trying to look through the eyes of a supporter rather than the eyes of a critic.

funny that eh but we learnt and moved onwards and upwards <ok>
Mr Harris has found his best 11 and has made 1 change to that starting 11 over the last 9 games He rested Morison at Hull we still won though the other 10 carried the new addition along nicely <ok>
whats your best 11 and will you be making changes for the Fulham game <laugh>

Not changed for me but I don't think we are that far off a decent starting 11. This season a lot of players have been hampered by being asked to play out of position or do something they are not comfortable doing and it shines through. Hernandez wide left too often, Dallas and Anita in defence, Alioski is another who has suffered in certain formations and positions.

Starting 11 next season (as things stand today) - Ayling, Pontus, Forshaw, Hernandez, Alioski, Saiz - Those are the first six names down on the team sheet. If we could get three decent signings then a few of the other players might look better. Maybe Berardi back in if he isn't exposed so much, Vieira even and lets not forget Taylor.

At the moment the team is virtually picking itself, PH has experimented a little and it hasn't really worked, I personally believe if we had kept TC then we would be in a slightly better position.

So its taken 8 months 2 managers to find 6 of your best 11 and now it looks like 4 could be leaving <ok>
