In the rise of Coquelin have Charlton turned Arsenal's season from one of 'not sure about top 4' to one of 'easy top 4' and a good chance of retaining FA Cup? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...uelin-has-proved-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-wrong.html If so do Charlton deserve a couple of good youngsters on loan for the rest of the season when the loan window opens on Monday, We could have saved their transfer budget £30m on having to buy a new defensive mid and Coquelin is already up to speed with British football. Who would I ask Arsenal to loan - Tyrell Robinson - a left winger who plays for their U18 but is like pit off a shovel! Chuba Akpom - a centre forward who already has loan experience at Brentford & Cov City Isaac Hayden - a British version of Coquelin Defender/Def Mid who works hard and handy with the ball at feet. OK, I don't like loans as much as the next man but Akpom & Hayden are at the edge of the Arsenal squad and the sort of players they release every summer. These players could add competition to the first team, at least, strengthen the bench and give us options. FYI, the week before last the Club released players from the U16 squad that they did not want to offer youth contracts to..... the U16 squad now consists of about 6 players..... a savage cull..... and perhaps a prelude to something?? I would certainly take Akpom. I feel that it can do nothing but good the success of Coquelin. Arsenal would feel happy to loan us another player. But what I feel we need is an experienced Premiership centre forward like Danny Graham, who would take some of the pressure off Vetokele.
Gnarby. Feel somewhat proud when I see coquelin play, as he was very much the forgotten Man there, with no contract negotiations planned. It's also nice to hear him mention us in pretty much every interview he does. First song, now the Coq. Keep sending those midfielders arsenal, and we'll make them.
