Apparently the deal to sign Tummi Pukki ****i is almost complete. Benfica have put in a bid for Forster. We'll see how that goes.
Not spoken to a single fan who is excited by the prospect of this signing. Personally, I couldn't give a **** who they sign now. Nothing but bullshite, baubles and rhetoric from Celtic all summer.
Celtic striker Tony Watt has joined Belgian club Lierse SK on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old is best known for scoring in last season's 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League. Celtic sold last season's top-scorer Gary Hooper to Norwich but manager Neil Lennon has since added forwards Amido Balde and Teemu Pukki to his squad. "It happened very fast," Watt told the Lierse website. "It's a good opportunity for me." Lierse sit 11th in the 16-team Jupiler Pro League following Saturday's 0-0 draw with Mechelen. "I thought I'd give it a try and the negotiations went smoothly," added the Scotland Under-21 international. "Hopefully, I can do well and score some goals." Watt has scored eight goals in 34 appearances for Celtic, the majority of those coming from the substitute's bench.
I would much prefer to see him out on loan than sell him. Hope he does well and comes back a better player.
I'm hopeful this is the making of him. I'm prone to repetition, but he's a far more intelligent player than Forrest. Whether he is as applied to his trade is another question.
Yet when he first burst onto the scene everyone was talking about how he was like McGeady but with a better end product. He's still young. He'll get there. He'll get there.
James McCarthy away to Everton for around £15m Do you think he's good enough yet to get into the Celtic team? <mowbray>
